Ofra Davidov Cohen, the founder and President of Galilee Travel was born in Israel and was educated in France, Argentina, Congo and the US.
Ofra earned a High Honors degree in Business Economics from Rutgers University and has been a Bethesda, Maryland resident for over thirty five years.
Ofra’s charm, warmth, professionalism, expertise and knack for developing close and rewarding relationships guarantee Galilee’s clients the highest level of personalized service and the absolute very best Israel travel experience.
In the late 1980’s, Ofra served as an executive Vice President at one of Israel’s largest companies, managing US business development and marketing operations from the company’s Chevy Chase based subsidiary.
In 1991 Ofra founded the Transmark Corporation, a consulting business specifically devoted to the development and management of commercial relationships between US and Israeli companies. Over its twenty five years of consecutive operation, Ofra’s consultancy became the longest existing and probably the most experienced provider of business development services for Israeli companies operating in the US.
As a senior corporate executive and then a consulting business owner, Ofra became a firm believer in the virtues of direct communication, professional integrity, unwavering quality, and dedicated service as mechanisms for successful business interactions between people and organizations. Among the many very senior executives who have known Ofra for years – including many from companies as large as Boeing and Wal-Mart – Ofra has always been considered a hard-working, hands-on professional achiever and “people-person”.
Meet Mira Baer
Born and raised in Jerusalem, a genuine ‘Sabra’, and a mother of two – Ya’ara (22) & Doron (20), Mira is a retired high school English and Physical Education teacher.
Educated and for the past 26 years I’m a tour-guide. I guide both tourists who visit Israel and Israelies visiting overseas.
My passion is working with people, teaching & guiding. Two things guide me in my work with people : first thing – the verse from the book of Psalm 119:99 – “I have more insight than all my teachers, for I medidate on your statutes”.
The Hebrew version is – “The privilage to learn from all my teachers & students”.
So for me, working with people, teaching & guiding, is one of the best ways to learn & learn more.
Second thing – my desire to create ‘an experience’ for the visitor. I see my work as a mission. My aspiration is to turn the tour in Israel to ‘an unforgetable experience’
‘ An experience’ that the visitor will be able to take home with him / her, share with the family & friends and hopefully, come back again to intensify that experience.
Throughout the tour, all the details are important – the historical dates, vising the holy sites, seing the archeological remnants, meeting the different cultures & tasting the varaity of foods ect. However, all that is listed above, are just the Ingridients, to combine & create ‘the experience’.
So, with the help of the bible, maybe using a shovle (the Zionist pioneers developed
& revived the land, partly by planting trees), definatly with a lot of inthusiasm and a big heart, I’m looking forward to welcome many visitors in Israel.
